Nel corso del mio percorso artistico ho realizzato molte opere, diverse per tecnica, linguaggio, periodo e ricerca. Ognuna è nata da un momento preciso, da un'idea, da una riflessione, da una necessità espressiva.

Guardandole oggi, a distanza di anni, mi rendo conto che alcune di esse raccontano molto più di quello che appare a un primo sguardo. Dietro una forma, un colore, una composizione o una scelta tecnica c'è spesso un pensiero, una domanda, un percorso che non sempre può essere colto semplicemente osservando l'immagine.

È anche per questo che ho deciso di creare sul mio sito una nuova sezione:

WORKS WITH REVIEW

Una sezione che raccoglie le recensioni e le letture critiche dedicate alle mie opere nel corso del tempo.

Ho voluto riunirle in un unico spazio perché credo che, accanto all'opera, possa essere interessante conoscere anche gli sguardi, le interpretazioni e le riflessioni che essa ha suscitato.

Una recensione non vuole spiegare un'opera al posto dell'artista e nemmeno suggerire allo spettatore cosa debba vedere. Può però offrire un punto di vista diverso, una chiave di lettura, magari qualcosa che aiuti a soffermarsi su un particolare o a cogliere un collegamento che a prima vista era sfuggito.

Per me questo insieme di recensioni rappresenta anche una sorta di percorso parallelo alla mia attività artistica: un dialogo che nel tempo si è sviluppato intorno alle opere e che oggi ho scelto di rendere visibile.

WORKS WITH REVIEW, quindi, non è soltanto un archivio di testi.

È un modo per rileggere il mio lavoro attraverso gli occhi degli altri e, nello stesso tempo, per invitare chi visita il mio sito a guardare le opere con maggiore attenzione, senza necessariamente fermarsi alla prima impressione.

Perché un'opera può colpire immediatamente.

Ma può anche rivelarsi lentamente.

E talvolta, proprio attraverso una parola, una riflessione o uno sguardo esterno, si riesce a vedere qualcosa che prima non si era visto.
