I disagree. I think MGS1 was Hayter finding his feet with Snake, and the Snake-Voice in MGS2's opening monologue ("The Hudson River, two years ago...") is Solid Snake's voice in his prime. I've nothing against the other incarnations either (PW/MGS4/GZ), because they make sense for their characters at those points in their lives.

Any particular reason you're bringing this up?
